I'm installing PHP/mySQL scripts, such as calendars, galleries, blogs, etc. as part of a site redesign. I've set up the new site on my vps where I will host it. In the meantime, nameservers for the domain point to the old site, different server. In the past I've always had the luxury of installing scripts on a live site and was able to access immediately. I'm hosting on a linux vps with cpanel/whm and shared IP. Should I set all this up on a testing domain (same server) and then move it to the new account, or is there a way to access the inactive site directly with a browser? How is this typically handled? Any help is greatly appreciated.
John
