Hello everyone, I just got finished developing a major php program which took about 4 months. I have another one coming for a intranet, this time I feel like i would like to use a framework to save me allot of time. Has anyone had any experiences with the available php frameworks? I know of Zend Framework and phpCake. If anyone has tried this and know which is better please let me know, also if you know of any others. thanks

phpCake is an built upon the (MVC) pattern. (MVC) = Model view controller and if your into OO programming and aware of design patters for use on web applications you could very well implement one of your own.

Many folks debate whether or not MVC is theway forward for web apps.

Like I say you need to be aware of OO concepts etc to get to grips with it.

There are many MVC frameworks (BUT remember its only one way to do it) and they come in versions php4 and 5 which one are you using.
