What is the best way of going about the provision of a search facility for our Knowledge Base.

The basic structure of the KB is title/article.

Thats depends entirely on what you know ro what resources are at your disposal. If you want to build one a gogle search will turn up several useful tutorials. If you can handle modifying an existing script i recommend phpclasses.org.
