hi webmasters...
i'm currently working on a website
lets say that the webpage is "http://www.mypage.com/"
i'm planning to create a login page where u can enter your username n password
just say that this page is called the index.htm
i also have a page called profile.htm
then a person who have ever gone to my website can just type in "http://www.mypage.com/profile.htm/" and enter my website without logging in.
How to solve this??

Redirect them to the index.htm. If you want also you could insert a message at the top of index.htm when they are redirected there and you could tell them they have to log in to view that page.

by the way, how to redirect???

Do you use a server-side language on your website?

yeah i used both php and html for my website..

Take a look here, its the login script I used, may need editing if you dont want the groups, but thats fairly painless. You'll need a mySql database as well.
