no i didnt mean it as diffrent servers...what i meant is say im putting up a script got it all uploaded and everything.....then i got to go to
http://www.tddsquad.com/forums/installer.php

and run the install to connect to mysql..but i can' connect....

so i give someone the url to my install file "http://www.tddsquad.com/forums/installer.php"

I give that person my mysql info....then he can connect it for me.

Make sure that 'localhost' is actually the correct mySQL server. I've been on hosting before that I was hosted on box3 for example, but mySQL was on box5. Don't use those boxes though, it was just an example.

acually it's not "localhost"
but "mysql.webgemshosting.com"

but even if that was wrong it would not explain why someone else can go to MY install.php and connect using the info I provide them....

Even my host dont know why i cant..he said maybe Nortons or a fire wall is keeping me from running script url (Thats what they said)....thats not the case everything is disabled...then he said maybe my isp wont allow people to run script urls...i have contacted them and they said they dont block anything like that.
