I hope i've posted this in the correct section.

My problem is that for the past few weeks i've been setting up a shopping cart on my website (using the Zen Cart) module and I've been able to successfully access the admin login screen - Until Now...
Whenever i enter: www.example.com/admin OR www.example.com/admin/index.php - I receive the following error:

The requested URL /admin/zc_install/index.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.example.com Port 80

The address to the admin's login page has not been changed by me and certainly should not be located in zc_install - as I was asked to remove this directory after a successful installation.
The Not Found error has only recently appeared and I've already tried looking through the files using SmartFTP but I haven't found anything that looks odd and that may be the cause of this problem.
Anyone able to help me or to tell me what i'm doing wrong?

This usually means that you have a messed up configuration file or your database is corrupt. The admin configuration file is in /admin/includes/configure.php . Search for define('DB_TYPE', and make sure that the database connection details are correct. If they are, make sure your database is still there.

Yep, I would agree with Jeremy. The way I see that, you're being forwarded from the admin page to the installer page, apparently. I assume ZC does that when it can't find (a valid?) configuration file, and I assume you deleted the install directory after your initial install and hence the reason it can't find it anymore.

I just looked through and everything seems to be in order. DB information is correct and the database check was a success.

After a successful install, I received a warning telling me (at the top of the main page) to remove that directory.

Well, then, the only thing I can think of would be to start debugging it, but that'd require server access. The 2 resolutions I gave you are the only ones about which I'm aware. ZC also has a forum where more info may be available.
