What can I do on my site to make the text and formating web 2 style how is done anyway?

Web 2.0 is not a set of technical specifications so you cannot "make your website Web 2.0" as such.

It is a term use to describe how websites are made and used. Typically this will include proper user interaction, social networking, wiki, enhanced organization and categorization of content and lots more cool stuff.

Have a look at some of the articles on the web (!) about Web 2.0 to see what could be implemented on your site.

i think its basically about not making you sites look or be ANYTHING like http://calmcharity.org ..

DONT USE FRAMES.
DONT USE BAD COLOURS
try to make it look good in the top 2/3 browsers (IE6 / IE7 / FF)

use CSS

and if you go anywhere NEAR the <font> tag ill personally hunt you down and kill you.

'Web 2.0' is pretty much just a buzzterm.

Simplicity, standards compliance, larger fonts, ajax, cms, user friendliness, and stupid domain names are among the things that help define Web 2.0 sites.

Google 'designing for web 2.0' and you should come up with plenty to read.

Then check out sites like:

You will find plenty of examples and inspiration.

John read through this Web 2.0 design style guide from Web Design from Scratch. In fact read through the whole site. One of the best sites about design I've found.

There's no real specs for designing web 2.0, but most sites we think of as having a web 2.0 style tend to do a lot of similar things. The guide I linked to will walk you through.
