If anybody read my previous posts, especially you jabo.
You would realise that I am in favour of NOBODY having guns.
Guns are made of metals=resources.
Guns do release toxic materials in the air.

I still firmly believe that if I had the power to do one thing, I would remove all firearms from Earth.
|
.and I have posted an answer to that in my last post.and how do you suppose removing guns can reduce crime rates

Well, 90% of the crimes including robberies and dacoities are done with the help of guns.
Even if it isn't so, I am still sticking to my Nobody gets a Gun theory?
What do we need guns for?
Have we humans stooped to such a low level that we have to kill our own species just for entertainment?

Nobody here is advocating murder. 90% of crimes in your area may be committed with the help of guns, but that isn't the case world wide. The UK has a ban on guns and has a much higher incidence of crimes being committed with knives than other countries. In the US just about anything can be used as a weapon. That is the main point here I believe. People who want to ban guns are blaming the gun when the gun is not the problem. We can ban guns and another weapon will come to the forefront. Banning guns will not solve the fundemental problem. The fundemental problem exists within the people - not their choice of weapon.

Hardly any of the crimes in India use guns.
Majority of the muders here are done with domestic items like spades, hammers, screwdrivers and so on.
Else, it is a terrorist attack done with the help of bombs.
But, I still say that the gun shouldn't have ever been invented.
If we continue killing each other and blowing up each other, then just as Nostradamus's prediction about the world coming to an end in 3979 coming true.

Do you really think that there would be peace if nobody gets a gun, do really think that crime would be reduced with out 'em, and lastly, do you really think that the world will change for the better with out guns>? Obviously your answer would be yes, so, how would that be then?

what will I not understand or you just can't explain. see this situation if you take out guns. if there are 4 people robbing a lady with a knife, what would a single cop's chance in helping this lady? none. 2 men robbing a store, what would be the owner's defense?

Well, look at it this way.
If guns never existed, robbing a bank would be harder.
Get it.

Not all bank robberies involve guns. It's true that most bank robbers at least claim to have a gun, but some use bombs and other threats.

"An army sergeant walked into a Tucson bank and handed the teller a note that said he had a bomb in his mouth. Things went badly for the would-be robber and he ended up on his knees handcuffed to a pole with a robot probing his mouth for a bomb. There was no bomb."

Fine, here goes.
I believe that ALL weapons should be destroyed and we should try and live in peace.
I mean, have we humans stooped to such a low level that we begin treating fellow humans as worse than animals?

So your going to cut off everyone's hands and feet and make pencils and pens illegal too? But then again, I don't know what your going to do with all the rocks on the planet. Oh wait, this planet is one big rock.
Point is: there is no way to get rid of "ALL weapons".

Joder beat me to pointing out that it is not possible to get rid of all weapons. If someone is determined to commit a violent act, anything can be used as a weapon. By the same token, most things that are used for weapons also have legitimate, productive purposes.

Unfortunately yes.
But still we could make an effort by NOT coming up with more and more sophisticated missiles and nuclear explosives.

As long as you have ideologies that think their way is the right way and see others as a threat, you will have weapons and militaries and the need to keep that one step ahead.

O.K. Here is my 2 cents worth,
Hypothetically, If you were kidnapped and thrown in a prison were all the inmates had a weapon would you want to have one also for your protection?
If you are anti guns or weapons then you will not want one and that is fine because it is your life and I am sure you will find some cunning way to preserve it.
Would you still feel the same way if your family was imprisoned with you?
So many do not understand that when you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have them.......

^^interesting example.. well, I surely would want to have any form of protection if I would be in prison to protect my self from three things.
a. getting beat up
b. getting killed
c. be raped by a fellow inmate

the last option is my answer which is Only police, the army, and other public servants - with accountability. because if anyone can have a possession of a gun then we will never know their intentions of having it. and besides they never undergo a training of it.
