Looks like Obama's squeaky clean image is about to get some attention by the mudslingers. This many fainting events, essentially carbon copies of each other, with identically scripted responses, make Hillary's tears look amatuerish, even if the occurrences are legit. Here come the snake oil salesman comparisons. I love election year.

I refuse to believe that he would stoop that low.

Actually I agree. It makes good political fodder though. Another possibility is that his great aura causes some people to faint in his presence. There is some historical precedence for this. Adolph Hitler.

Elvis comes to my mind.

Yeh, or the Beatles. But then again, they could sing and play instruments. People faint at church rallies too. I think the only explanation that means anything good for the Obama campaign, and it is a plausible explanation, is that he is packing so many people in, that some are fainting from heat exhaustion.

Hard to know if these events are "staged" or not. Possibly. Possibly not. This probably won't get too many people's ire up apart from that of his most extreme detractors.

... and the Beatles, and Elvis.. and Frank Sinatra .. geez.. people get over excited about a LOT of things, who knows what that person's real problem is ! It's got very little to do with Obama himself causing someone to faint - that's just a weak person !

So Obama attracts more weak people than the other candidates. Sounds plausible. Seriously though, I doubt the fainting is anything more than political hay being made. Additionally, I have no doubt this guy has real charisma.

That said, guys like Benny Hinh make their living off their charisma, and I know how much everyone here loves organized religion. I'd much rather have someone like shrub, not that charismatic, but got elected on his issues and stuck with them even when they were unpopular. I'm not electing the person I'd rather drink beers with.

If 1 = "more people" than that explains why Fixed Noise keeps saying Bush still has any supporters left.

He got elected by a 5 to 4 vote in the Supreme Court after loosing the national, democratic election.

That's really been Bush's only qualification since (before he was governor) when he was being arrested for drunk driving.

Luckily for Mr Bush, it wasn't until 2004 that America had a chance to elect or re defeat him in a free and fair election. You know - the type we insist Zambia and Iraq practice.

Of course that flies in the face of factual history which shows Gore never won Florida by any recount, nor that he would have won had the continuous and prejudiced recounting process continued forever. Cant change history bud, and wishing wont make it so.

I always think the fainting thing is funny, most likely explanation:

Obama holds huge rallies, to get one of those front row/pit spots for it you have to show up like, 8 hours in advance. In some cases like Seattle, that meant people arriving early morning, some of which probably didn't eat breakfast or lunch. Also, the secret service won't let you take in liquids.

So combine all that:

Half a day hanging out at a stadium, likely skipping a meal or two +
not being allowed to take bottled water into the actual event +
yelling and shouting for a few hours through all the introductions and various speakers =
Obama finally coming on stage and young, most likely slightly anemic girls shout and cheer one too many times and get dizzy and stumble.

Of course you can't change history by dancing around the factual issue that a recount was ordered stopped by many Supreme Court justices appointed by GWB's father, GHWB. In anything less important than the presidency of the United States, this would be a conflict of interest and annul the whole deal.

Deadlines were setup for the recounts by the local florida courts. Not to mention they only wanted to recount the districts that heavily favored liberals. The whole thing was a sham, and bad for the nation.
