Actually, in Canada it does...but it's not talked about that much. 70% of the people end up paying for the other 30%. Doctors are grossly underqualified, and the ones that are end up in the States anyway. A three-hour wait time when you're coughing up blood is normal (this is something I've actually experienced). And pretty well every doctor is a pill pusher.

This is one of the rare times that I would agree with both Bush and Kerry. Government is meant to legislate, not operate.

What makes that story so much funnier, outside of the obvious that most in Cuba would much rather be in the U.S., is that the U.S. has now taken an interest in FIFA and World cup. These stories warm my heart almost as much as the many Canadians playing for the NHL. I can see a day in the not too distant future when U.S. wins the world cup. I think there will be riots.
