There are plenty of lazy people. I've "worked" with a lot of them. But there will always be plenty of jobs that are low paying. That is a necessity of capitalism.

We start out in life where we start through no fault of our own. We are unquestionably at least partially responsible for where we wind up. Lazy is in the mind of the observer. Check out this story. NBA player now living in homeless shelters after injuring his back and becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol. The addiction part may be quite a bit more common amongst the homeless than the injury part, though most probably don't fall as far from grace.

What would you say a guy like this ought to do, or what should the system do for him? He currently works 8 hours a day as a security guard, so it is possible for him to work. Would you call him lazy? Unmotivated? Not tough enough to get himself off the streets?
