You know, cbwm, you're the icon of the ditto head movement. It's clear you think Hannity is more intelligent than anybody on the Nobel prize committee, and probably that O'Reilly really did win those 2 Peabody awards, too?
Now tell me the one about math having a liberal bias.

You need to check your facts. Bush's Crawford Ranch eco-friendly status is well documented. So is the abusive wasted created by Gore's mansion. Those facts dont lie.

You need to check your facts, and more than 1 of them. But it must be really nice for a president to be judged on his house instead of his policy.
Yeah, your 1 out of context fact absolutely does lie.

Didn't Paul just establish that Bush's policies have created demand for smaller more energy efficient vehicles, and opened the funding flood gates for alternative fuels? These too are facts.

Now this I just don't get. What is out of context about the fact that Bush lives the "Eco Friendly" life by example iwith his own home, while Al Gore does not? How does that fact lie?

I'm not surprised you don't understand that a president should be judged on his policy and not the house he goes to on vacation. If you can't tell the difference between the two you really shouldn't be voting or telling other people your opinion. I don't know a more polite way to say it. I'm not necessarily saying anything is wrong with your intelligence, but you clearly don't understand things like government, policy, and there being more than 1 person in the world.
I'm done wasting my time reading anything you have to say.

That is certainly your choice. To be sure, the legislation a President signs into law impacts our environment in different ways, but to say any President single handedly increases or decreases our eco-footprint is a bit of a misnomer. All legislation goes through both houses of congress, obviously, and eventually becomes the child of many fathers. As Paul pointed out in his post, even President's with lofty environmental goals may not produce the goals they intended.
A President's personal residence, on the other hand, is 100% under their personal control. It is that place they call home, and those with means can have their home however they like it. While Bush's house pleasantly surprises, since he never claimed to be Mr. Eco friendly, Gore's house is the equivalent of Mr. Spitzer's call girl problem. This is the guy telling the planet to use less energy, cut back, and sacrifice. The fact that Bush is eco-friendly is no where near as significant as the fact that Gore is not.

Before this heats up any more I don't think either of them can rightfully claim to be an environmentalist (Bush doesn't even try). If you consider the resources consumed by both of these men in their day-to-day lives, the consumption of their homes is a teardrop in the sea.
I was trying to point out sometimes we get theses side-effects to policies that often have little to do with the intent of the one implementing it.
Even funnier (sadder, really) to me is that Gore has managed to put everyone's focus on carbon (and global warming, that might affect our grandkids), that everybody has forgotten about the pollutants that are affecting us right now. The other pollutants will probably kill us long before we see changes related to carbon.
His intention may be good but, the effect might be disaster.

While I agree with what you posted, I'm not sure I agree that his intentions are good. He supposedly pays the carbon credits for his rather large environmental Carbon footprint through a consulting company he founded. Meanwhile, the money is pouring in as the world goes crazy over polar bears who are supposedly drowning from global warming at the very same time they come off the protected and endangered species lists. His marketing has been nothing short of spectacular. It just wouldn't surprise me to find out his house is using all that electricity to process Elephant tusks, Gorilla hides, Tortoise shells, and baby harp seal furs into furniture for the obscenely rich.

You finally figured it out? Remember John: Bush/Republicans good. All Democrats bad. If you agree with the president, he did it. If you don't agree, Congress did it. That's all there is.

And that pretty much sums it up. Bush must be judged on his hair color, since it's the only positive thing that can be said about him with a straight face, but Clinton must be judged on the evil things he did at the Salem Witch Trials. Global Warming doesn't exist, but GWB is a hero for saving us from it. Drunk driving should be encouraged. I should never have wasted any time or attention treating these seriously.
