I got this quote from another thread, it made me wonder:

Please be respectful and avoid incendiary language. With that said, most in here are intelligent enough to distinguish between foreign policy of a nation and inherent qualities of a race. It made me wonder is Judaism a Race, I mean I thought it was a Religion, if it is a religoun and not a race, how can Zionism be a qualitie of a Religioun that is bein pre-cluded as a race?

Im just kind of really confused on this, Zionism is a political movement, as there are Jewish people out there who oppose zionism. It makes me think that only the zionist people will argue enough to declare it a race so no one can critizise it. Zionism in general means establishing a land for Jews in Israel, how does that not involve Foriegn Policy?

Judaism is a Religion; A Jew is a race of people or a person.

You've never heard of a Jewish atheist? There are millions. Look into Russian history, particularly during the Soviet Union era.

Thats like saying theres a "Christian Atheist", with the christian part being an ethnicity, but its not an ethnicity its a Religion so how does that differe from Judaism.

Jewish people come in different skin colours (race), sizes and shapes.

Well you've obviously made up your own mind, despite all evidence to the contrary. I'm curious - if you've made up your mind and intend to tell anyone who shows you things you (clearly) aren't aware of how your gut tells you they're wrong - why ask the question in the first place?

I don't see you in Wikipedia's talk section telling them how the existence of the article I quoted from is wrong.

Have you never heard of a word having more than one definition, each being accurate? For instance, French could be a description of something from France, or the name of a language. Jewish is a word used to describe both a religion and a group of people. Why should that be complicated?
