The Columbian Government turns over computers seized on a raid in a FARC rebel camp to interpol, headquareted in France. Interpol verifies that the data on the computers has not been tampered with and calls the find "the largest collection of records in the world concerning FARC". Apparently the data spells out in black and white that Hugo Chavez has been funding and providing training for the rebel group, a group listed by the U.S. as a terror organization.

Of course Fox hit the headlines first with the story yesterday, and the headline read as follows:

"Chavez Under Pressure

Terrorist ties put left-wing leader in hot seat"

CNN, on the other hand, throws out this softball this morning, buried in the subsections:

"Chavez: Interpol report a 'clown show'"

Its like they skipped the subject of the article so they could get Chavez's response into the headline. Pathetic. For those who don't know, FARC is an organization that finances itself on the production and sale of Cocaine (pretty much all the cocaine coming from Columbia), as well as the kidnap for ransom business. They have held two Americans hostage for over 5 years, and recently Hugo Chavez has been using these hostages to gain credibility as a "Peacemaker" when idiots like Oliver Stone and Bill Richardson accept his invitation to act as a mediator between the west and FARC. Stone went on record as saying our government gave Chavez "a bad rap" and that he is actually a "good guy". I guess he didn't realize that by talking to Chavez, he was talking directly to FARC. Another reason Actors should stick to acting. How good is Bill Richardson's Obama endorsement now? I guess his nickname "Judas" has more than one application now.

Chavez is now serving the 9th year, of his 8 year term as president of the formerly democratic country of Venezuela, despite the fact the proposal he put before the people to extend his term was voted down. Inflation has run amock, the middle class is disappearing, and poverty is spreading. Its like watching Cuba happen all over again. We plucked Noriega's smelly carcass out of Panama and threw him in a U.S. prison for drug trafficking and money laundering. I wonder if there is enough information on those laptops to do the same thing with Chavez. God knows it did wonders for Panama.

I don't normally complain about NBC/MSNBC because, well, frankly I just don't watch those channels. I quit watching MSNBC when Mathews and Olbermann came out of the closet and openly proclaimed their liberal bias and idiocy by shouting down Michelle Malkin on public TV because they were upset that pretty much all of the military who served with John Kerry was calling him a traitor.

It appears the white house now has a bone to pick with NBC for openly dishonest editing of an interview with Bush. In this day and age, its amazing they still try to pull this same kind of BS they did with regularity when they were the only game in town and actually had a viewing audience. Here is the full story. It is unbelievable they actually clipped out the specific sentences they didn't want broadcast out of a multi sentence reply by the president. Hard to call that editing for brevity.

On a tangential note, has anyone else noticed that Keith Olbermann is evolving? He's taken on an artificial plasticine appearance, not unlike his commentary. I've provided photo evidence to illustrate:

Concerning, very concerning.

Chavez should go to jail. He has destroyed Venezuela, more than any corrupted politicians ever there and he claims honesty. Chavez does not deserves to lead Venezuela, is that simple.
