If God exists, which is a non-factor in my argument, then yes, He would be a hack.
God is a hack, because his "creation" is destroying itself and he's powerless to stop it, if not powerless, then unwilling and that means God sucks.

God angst. Its kind of like a kid to rich parents who is pissed off because he didn't get a Mercedes for his 16th B-Day, as if he/she is in a position to say what is or is not the right parenting decision at that, or any other juncture.

Just to play devil's advocate, if we really are the bad creation that is doing bad things to ourselves and our habitat. maybe killing a few billion of us off is God's way of disciplining us for the furtherance and betterment of the species (his creation). I happen to believe that the human race is practically incapable of truly destroying itself, even with something like thermonuclear war. Much like cockroaches, there would always be some portion of us who make it. To truly kill off the human race, we would need an "act of god" like a large meteor to strike the planet.
