I think that the Clinton's will do everything in their power to destroy Obama's chances so that she can run again next term.

I think she will as well, though that seems counter productive. If she burns Obama to the ground, she won't get DNC party support the next round. If there is no legitimate way left for her to contest Obama's nomination, everything she does from this point on will probably serve to alienate her from much of her left wing constituency. Even the music at her speech last night, "Simply the best", was divisive, implying Obama is something less than the best. Not going to get a VP slot like that.

She can get somebody assassinate Obama, lol, just kidding. Well, as a senator I think that she can still be heard. Though, not as powerful as a President.

Obama's best choice for a running mate is John Edwards.. Fro that matter, I think JE would have a better shot at beating McCain in the election for president, but the democrats were too enamored by "change" with no details or plans to see that..

Novel idea - she could try actually doing the job she was already elected to do and be my representative in the Senate. I didn't elect her to the job, but other voters in NY did.

I think that would make a very bad team.

ewww... Ambulance chasing trial attorney from the failed John Kerry ticket. I think there are many who would go out of their way to vote against a ticket John Edwards was on. At least the empty promise of change has some mystique and glamor to it. John Edwards is just icky. I think a more honest ticket would have Teddy Kennedy, Fidel Castro, or Hugo Chavez as his running mate.

I'm not going to get super involved in the political conversations here, but there's one person that would make a hard ticket to run against if Obama chooses them as a VP candidate. Obviously there would be some issues with it and I have no idea if Obama would actually do it, but I think it would be an interesting strategic choice: Oprah.

what exactly did Obama just win over Clinton. I'm neither American, nor yet eligible to vote, so go easy on me .

Obama and Clinton were both running to be the democratic nominee for president. For the Presidential elections, there can only be one nominee for each party. You could go into a lot of theories as to why Obama won over Clinton, but it boils down to the fact that Obama got more votes from the state delegates (basically the few special people who put in a vote that is supposed to represent the general consensus of the people living in the delegate's state).
American politics are confusing! To other Americans here - feel free to correct me if I didn't get this right!

Relaxing? Taking a breather? Whatever she feels like, except running for president as Democrat. Hard to believe, but that's not actually something we get to decide, or even have much input to.
On a similar note, what do you think Satan should be doing since John McCain has the Republicans? Personally, I think he should just keep on torturing the souls of the damned, but that's really not my call to make. The only person who has much influence there is Lynn Cheney.
( That's much more funny and less offensive than the idea that Hillary should return, pregnant and barefoot, to the kitchen having lost the primaries, as expressed in post #2. And more historically accurate!)

She can wear flip flops no need to be barefoot.. And lord help us, please don't let her breed again.. I'll even kick in a few bucks for the condoms if she needs the cash..
(btw - I said neither barefoot nor pregnant, once again you show that you need to make up things that I didn't say just so you can get indignant about what I did say)
I also like the idea of her going back to Washington DC and actually doing the job she was elected to do now.. But that might be asking too much..

I agree. Clinton and Obama have now got a history and both deep down probably don't like the other that much. They are clearly different people with different styles.
Obama should pick a V.P. who can reach out to groups in the population that he isn't very strong with - Latinos, Blue Collar workers and older women (who favoured Clinton). If he can find a decent candidate that is strong in these areas, then he's practically won the Presidential elections already.
McCain isn't really an ideal Republican candidate - he's not religious and he believes in the existence of global warming. This will lose him some support among evangelical Conservatives. Then again, he does love a good ol' war, so he does still have some Republican traits.

McCain is a turd(Spelling?). Hillary's constituency will probably end up voting for him over any more moderate VP Obama might choose. Right now, it looks like the general election is wide open and it should be a fairly tight race regardless of who Obama takes as a running mate.
By the way, did I call it or what on the Hillary support for Obama. "I'll drop out of the race on Saturday". HAHAHAHAHA. She's not going to hang on so tight as to ruin her support for 2012, but shes going to drag her heels just enough to hopefully cost Obama the election.
What is going to be really fun is to watch the 527s start really digging into Obama. You can call this one too. The picture they will paint, which I suspect is accurate, is an extremely partisan hard core left wing lunatic elitist with a "black" agenda. The candidate Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, Hugo Chavez, and Fidel Castro want elected.

I don't know if you guys have been following this, but I guess her chances at vp are slim to none, but not because of the fighting between the two of them, it's because of her husbands unwillingness to disclose his business activities from the past 8 years as well as name donors for his presidential library.
The talking heads are saying he wouldn't survive the vetting process for vp's. The other concern is how big of a figure she is, they don't want the vp to overshadow the presidential nominee.
I personally think Obama's best going with one of the military guys to match up with McCain on foreign policy. Either Jim Webb, or Wes Clark.
