You have to love the hypocrisy of those who speak out on behalf of human rights at the passing of Tony Snow with comments attached to the LA times obituary section such as:

One less evil, lying, greedy, destructive, treasonous, religous nut-bar member of the Republican Party! It's a great day at my house.

No one except his wife and children actually miss Tony. His "buddy" GW Bush squashed Stem Cell Research which ironically might well have yielded an actual cure for the diease that killed Tony; so GW Bush in effect killed Tony as dead as if he had used a gun.

God bless him, may he rest in peace. He went from being to part of the biggest propanda arm (Faux "News) of the Bush administration, to spewing the venom directly. He was a disaster as a press secretary because when he spoke, he looked as if he didn't even believe the garbage he was spewing. I don't savage the dead, but history must place him in the category of Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Hewitt, et al, who hellped manufacture the takeover of this country, for the of 1% of the population. The rest of us have yet to see the worse that is coming.

Perhaps one shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but I do get tired of seeing them dishonestly sanctified by the press. First Tim Russert (the coverage of his death was REALLY overblown), then Jesse Helms, and now Tony Snow. Although the unrepentant Helms might have been the only truly evil character of the three, Russert and Snow covered themselves and their profession with shame by going along with the corruption of the Bush administration. They did tremendous injury to journalism as a profession, and the way they conducted themselves did great, and perhaps irreparable damage to this nstion.

This is the sentiment I've seen echoed across most the political blogs over the weekend, I have no strong opinion on the man one way or another, he'll likely be forgotten, while his counterpart, Baghdad Bob, will live on as an internet meme for quite some time.

I call blatant hypocrisy on Chum's part.

While I recognize Chum's sadness that the world isn't more politically correct, let's have a look at quotes that get lots and lots of praise from Chum and other conservatives on this very forum. We quickly find out that laughing at other people's deaths is great fun, as long as it's a blond transvestite making the jokes.
