Bushes and Bank Failures

It's not uncommon for minor banks to fail, and for the most part, we don't hear about it. It's only the catastrophic events ( on the internet, they like to say "epic fail"s) that catch our attention, because there aren't many banks in McClusky, North Dakota, whose failure will have a wide ranging effect on the country or the world.
The last time America went through a serious bank failure, George H W Bush was president. You remember. People lined up at the bank like Russians waiting for bread, hoping to be allowed to withdraw some of their money before Neil Bush stole it all.
In fact, of the 10 worst bank failures in American history, 9 happened under GHWB's watch, according to the FDIC. This seems poised to change, although it looks like your tax money and mine is going toward preventing this from being tacked on to the W legacy. Bear Stearns got amnesty. Freddie and Fannie are next. Our dollar is worth less than Canada's, thanks to reckless spending and financial mismanagement.
I realize that Bill Clinton had sexual relations with a consenting adult, but the Bush clan is actively hurting our country, and reducing the American dream to a pipe dream. Social mobility? Move to Dubai.

The US dollar was at its lowest during Bush's term.

You actually think that will ever come up.
It came in the Times of India 2 weeks ago, and my father and I were luaghing at it.
I don't have a passport and don't intend to leave my country.

Bush has done more damage to the average American's standard of living than any president in recent memory.
Whenever we have a republican in the White House, we have a recession, as born out by statistics, including those posted in this thread, from the FDIC.

Amazingly, we are still not in a recession, as clearly borne out by the US Q1 statistics where we experienced economic growth, though at a slower pace. I haven't seen the Q2 numbers yet, but somehow I suspect that once again, we may have dodged the official "Recession" bullet.
How can that be? It feels like the sky has been falling for almost a year and a half (Coincidentally since the beginning of this election cycle).
I think it is that strange feeling, that sensation you get when you just know something bad is about to happen and the pain is coming right behind it. I've provided some pictures to illustrate what I am talking about :
Yeh I know. I feel it too.

It was sent to me in email with my the usual spam my friends send me which usually includes a boatload of pornography and some useless right wing chain letters. I only pass along the humorous or accurate letters, and the most quality porn, after a careful review process of course.

I thought good change was supposed to alleviate pain, not bring pain.

I wonder if I can get permissions for that photo, otherwise I'll have to search it out, or I'll probably just take it until someone claims it..
Good change is supposed to alleviate pain, however, it's like the shy guy who knows he needs to force himself to make more social connections. It is painful for him at first to adjust to a new lifestyle though in the long run it proves to be just what he (the U.S.) needed.

Well that is certainly one analogy . I like to think of it as driving to a destination in your car, and the journey is long, so your wife starts nagging you telling you you are going the wrong way. She nags and nags and insists you pull the car off the freeway and ask directions. Finally you cant take it anymore so you listen to her nagging and pull the car off the freeway in downtown Compton looking for a gas station. What you find instead of a gas station attendant are gang members who steal your car, rape your wife, shoot your children, and beat you nearly to death. When you get out of the hospital, you check out the police report and find you were on the right road, its just your wife's nagging that was making the drive seem long. Painful yes, beneficial no. Getting off the freeway in Compton is not the kind of change you should believe in, no matter how much it seems you might be going the wrong way. This analogy provided for anyone who has watched the Lakers play at the Forum or USC at the Collesium.

I seriously hope that it won't rotate at that speed.
I cannot imagine how many people would come sea sick with something like that.
And imagine the window cleaning chore... Like a russian roulette. 1 chance on 6 to be ejected out of the window.
Whoups, sorry, sucks to be you....

Haha, no, the rotation speed is supposed to be undetectable. The building is supposed to be the "Greenest" building ever made, generating 5x more power than it uses. While it is noteworthy the guy has never built a skyscraper in his life, a look at his investors makes it appear as though it will actually happen. If it does, it may revolutionize the way skyscrapers are built forever.

Ha ! Let me be skeptical on that one.
If that was proven true, it would mean that we won't need nuclear nor fossile energy ever.
It's like the philosophal stone, the search for the perpetual movement.
It would mean that the rotation would happen without any friction between the elements, which is rather hard to conceive...
But close to a 1:1 ratio, that I can believe.

It's an awesome building, it looks like every floor is a whole apartment?
Some one should sell them new hosting too, that site was slow as heck for me.

Hehe, you missed the wind turbine generators between each floor. They generate the power the building uses and then some (5x more). No perpetual motion involved.

I wonder if you could control the direction your floor faces, I'd probably want the pool facing the ocean, or maybe set it up so in the morning my bedroom was always on the west side of the building.

Finally, @cwbm, or whatever.
I guess you can understand.
Bush ruined the lives of millions, INCLUDING americans' lives during his 10 year stay.
