Harper made it. He is facing his second minority government in a row but he now has a stronger minority. I don't think it's gonna change anything though.

It did seem like Harper would get it. No offense, but Canadian politics are reminding me a little bit of American politics.

I was reading about how things work up at the border - I'll have to see if I can dig it up, but I got the impression that logging Canadian forests is for the benefit of American lumber companies, and that this was one example out of many? That while you have health care for all your citizens, good public transit in the cities, and some other vestiges of civilization, a lot is still done in the US kleptocratic style?
