The reason the stock market is down is because the americain people are scared of what having a muslim president might mean. I think I can speak for all americains and say that "I don't know how he got elected and I think this is the end of america as we know it".

John - I'm trying really, really hard, but you are really pushing all the buttons. Do some research before you post. Obama is not a Muslim, and even if he was, that does not mean he hates America, Americans or Christians.
While I understand that you are young, I have a son about your age, as a mod here I will not allow you to continually break the rules. Insulting other members, flaming of anyone (member or not) is not tolerated. You will receive infractions for each time you break the rules. If those infractions multiply, then you will end up banned. This is not a threat - only an explanation of what we expect of you. Respect the rules, or don't post.

The last time we had a Democratic president, he also inherited a recession caused by a President George Bush. And then he brought prosperity to all Americans. History has a way of repeating itself, and Democrats have always been far and away better at managing the economy.
Hey, on that note, now that ( in 2 months) we're getting a president who isn't owned by the bin Laden family, Osama is probably cowering the way Ken Lay's buddies are.

The economy runs on cycles. If you have any documentation of your "off the wall" claims" please post them here.
Democrats = tax, tax and spend.

Ahhh, yes, you're saying the Democrats wasted all those trillions in Iraq.
Here's proof of what I say, which any non ignorant person who lived in America as an adult during the early 1990s wouldn't have to ask for. BLS. WP. SmartMoney. The list goes on and on and on.
In case you've forgotten Daddy Bush's "Read my lips - I'm raisin yer taxes" and the success Clinton had in paying down the debt. If so, you need to read up on recent history.

Good job on your selection of links, so as to indicate there was a down economic cycle and to try and hang it on Bush. Let me give you one that explains the roots of this recession a bit more, and you'll find it started on Black Monday 1987.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_1990s_recession
Of course you'll spin that into being Reagans fault, but lets not forget the sh*t *** econonmy Reagan got from Carter. Carter screwed the country up so bad, the Republicans won nice majorities in both houses of congress.
Colbyt has it correct in that these cycles are fairly unavoidable.

Let me remind you back when Bush Sr. was in office. Our economy went down the drain, and when Clinton came and when he came out the country had it's lowest percentage of unemployment rates in history.
Clinton was a Democrat also. Whenever democrats are in office, the USA goes through an economic "utopia" so to speak.

I experience "utopia" with the help of a few beers and shots of tequila. I usually wake up with a hangover. I suppose in your example, the U.S. woke up from Clinton with a recession, Al Queda poised for 911, N. Korea a nuclear power, and our banking, mortgage, and Credit Default swap markets unregulated, setting us up for the worst economic crisis since the great depression. But it was a great high!

Well, during the days of Clinton, there was jobs everywhere to the point you could literally trip over them. On top of that, gas prices were extremely low and you could goto the grocery store and get 2 carriages full of food for only $100 a week.
And not only North Korea, but we started having problems with Iran and even Russia started to act a fool towards us.

Ah, yes, the Second Great Depression - also known as Junior Bush's Legacy.
The last time we had a democrat for president, he took office during a recession created by George H W Bush, turned it around, paid down the debt, didn't encourage outsourcing jobs, etc. And America had a healthy economy. There was a job for every American who wanted one. George W Bush has given out tax dollars to reward outsourcing jobs, doubled the federal debt, devauled the dollar, and presided over the largest gas price hike in history, more than a doubling in his 8 years.
The dark ages are coming to an end.

Like I said, it was a good high. This type of hangover is what you get when you balance the budget by not paying certain bills (Human intelligence into the middle east, when you find out they are bombing your embassies), and get caught up in the hubris of the internet economy and decide those silly regulations put in place after the great depression are no longer necessary.
