You guys are all going to hell for saying these wicked lies about how evolution is real. Don't you know that the bible clearly states that God created the heavens and earth in 7 days! Repent now ye fellow men, and run from your worldly beliefs and factual proof.

It just crossed my mind. When the stars all die out and entropy is at a maximum, we can always harness the power of the flames in hell. Problem Solved!

so true. However it might be difficult to harness power from the figurative.
*starts to sing - What if God was one of us - Just a slob like one of us - Just a stranger on the bus - Trying to make his way home -da de da da da de da...

Yeah, the cat ate the candy bar, but the cat also didn't eat the candy bar! Of course, the cat was as much of a protest against what Dr Schrodinger saw as nonsense in quantum theory ( specifically "superposition") as it was a genuine thought experiment.

What's happening in that situation is called auditory hallucination. If it's affecting plumbers, etc, it's likely to be low level carbon monoxide poisoning, maybe from the HVAC.
Why we are here is to go forth and multiply. On this point, the God of Abraham and Charles Darwin are 100 % in agreement.

Yep. But what you didn't get is that the hypothetical cat ate (and didn't eat) that poor schmuck's hypothetical chocolate bar, thus is (and isn't) dead. I'll even add to the joke by saying that since SuperSchmoe has created in his head a construct in which space and time are finite, he has put himself in the hypothetical box, and IS the hypothetical cat, and may as well eat the blasted chocolate bar and get it over with.

Sure - I didn't watch the video. I rarely watch videos posted in forums, because they're almost never worth the time. Which is ironic in that my signature has 2 links, both to videos on somebody else's site ( no personal connection) that inspired me.
From the responses here, it sounds like I'm not missing much in this particular case.

Well personally I don't believe in God and I don't believe in ghosts. That is very unfortunate as it makes life a bit less exciting. I really believe that we are just another species and that once we die, we simply vanish... Physically speaking, it doesn't make sense that our conscience would somehow stay outside of our body. We are complex beings with a complex mind (super computer-like).

Hey,
Yes god exists. He is inside us. But the problem is we find him here and there.

I find it hard to lower my being to a "super computer". As for having a soul or an "eternal being" if you will, how can anyone say for sure? I mean I believe but how can you really know? No one that I know physically has transcended time and space, or at least not without the help of hallucinogens.

No God does not exist and hopefully science will one day reveal why there's existence.

Of course no one can know. You just have to watch The Matrix to understand that what you see might not be real.
No but seriously, I wish I believed in God. It'd be nice to know that this planet is not just "another planet" and that this species is not just "another species".

GOD certainly exists, but not in a way everyone thinks. Everyone tries to preach GOD outside, by going to churches and all, to seek Gods grace. But everyone doesnt know, is that GOD is actually inside every living being and not outside, and by going into higher realms of MEDITATION, there will reach a point where you will detached from your Body and Mind (not dead!!), and thats when its said u have reached GOD (or absolute Energy) Even a million dollar lottery or offering of the US Presidency to you, will feel worthless to you when compared to you finding that absolute energy.(or GOD)
Thats when you said you have reached GOD. And not after Death, coz Mind still exists even after death. Mind does not die along with the body. The "GOD"ness is said to be achieved only when you wander into more higher thoughts ,, much higher than your Mind, by continuosly practising meditation and Thats GOD. Trust me, im a seeker for past 1 year and ongoing.....
EVEN the story of Buddha is an excellent testimonial to my explanation. He left his Palace (he was a king), his royal life, his wife and other luxuries, only to seek the higher truth. He saw sufferings all around him and he thought that even if he leads a royal life in palace in luxury with money and girls, he will also suffer one day... Its this thought that prompted him to leave his worldly life and seek the answer to the purpose of human life and seek GOD. He attained enlightenment (reached GOD) 7 years later, by meditating.
