Who is this Satin fellow? Never heard of him, though he sounds like someone who's just downright smooth.

Yep. It was funny! I was hoping for a more Hitchhiker's Guide kind of angle on it though. The filmstrip effects were cool, though.

Great find Julien, I enjoyed every single bit of it - and it's very true. We are nothing but monkeys, no matter how high up the food chain we consider ourselves to be - no matter how much smarter we think we are - and no matter ho much harder we think we can pound our planet.
I loved the bit about the Gods. Reminded me of heretostay (I read the comments before actually watching the video). Tell me, which made up God do you think is better? After all, they are all made it up, and we include their laws only for ourselves. I mean, from a logical perspective, what makes us the best thing on this planet. What makes us deserve a God? A Paradise? 72 virgins (I believe that's how the story goes)? Heaven?
There are many other living things on this planet, and yet we choose to ignore their significance. If there is a God, surely they should have a purpose other than feeding us, and keeping us warm.

@ Tim and Andrei: I'm glad you enjoyed it. My favorite part is when we make trophies and give it to each others as if it means something.

First, I wrote that post because the people in that thread are talking about believing in the matrix which is just satanic if you ask me and I don't like to be involved in satanic rituals. But as long as there is breath in my body I will try and spread the good news, and that is that there is an alternative to going to hell. Let me ask you guys something, do you guys want to burn for eternity?

First off, let us remind you of freedom of religion and expression. Just because one person believes in something you consider to be satanic, doesn't give you any right to barge in on them and shove your religion and beliefs down their throat.
Second, spreading the good news. That is good, but please don't go around shoving it down other peoples throats that believe different things from you.
Thirdly, how would I burn for eternity if I don't believe in hell or satan?

No what he was trying to say is that it's not because you don't believe in something that it doesn't exist. He just took cancer as an example and had no intention of hurting your feelings.
Am I right heretostay?

What heretostay is trying to explain is a double edged sword. I agree with both of your points of view.
Let's say you knew that God existed. You knew that Hell was absolutely horrible - and 100% real, and you knew that there could be salvation through some means. Let's say that you were the only person who knew this fact. Also, let's say that it is fact.
Wouldn't you want to save your friends? your family? Your kind? Wouldn't you try, by any means, to get those you love dearly to salvation? I would.
However, the second edge is what dwhite has to say:

You're right, I didn't watch it the first time, so I watched it just now - a very fine video. I like it. The last line is a good last line.
The vid is now one of my youtube faves. Nice one.

That probably has something to do with why he was banned.
Now that I look at this old thread, I wonder if Mr.Big and this guy were the same person?
They both joined an right away started to see how for they could push it before they got themselves banned. Then again its also likely that they are just two different people with too much time on their hands.

I know this really does not have anything to do with the original post but, I went to the zoo the other day and spent prob 2 hrs watching the gorillas. And it was amazing how much human qualities they had, it really made me think about my beliefs on evolution.

Scientists Unveil Missing Link In Evolution
Scientists have unveiled a 47-million-year-old fossilised skeleton of a monkey hailed as the missing link in human evolution.
The search for a direct connection between humans and the rest of the animal kingdom has taken 200 years - but it was presented to the world today at a special news conference in New York.
The discovery of the 95%-complete 'lemur monkey' - dubbed Ida - is described by experts as the "eighth wonder of the world".
They say its impact on the world of palaeontology will be "somewhat like an asteroid falling down to Earth".
Researchers say proof of this transitional species finally confirms Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, and the then radical, outlandish ideas he came up with during his time aboard the Beagle.
Sir David Attenborough said Darwin "would have been thrilled" to have seen the fossil - and says it tells us who we are and where we came from.
"This little creature is going to show us our connection with the rest of the mammals," he said.
"This is the one that connects us directly with them.
"Now people can say 'okay we are primates, show us the link'.
"The link they would have said up to now is missing - well it's no longer missing."

A preview of the documentary can be found here - the airing date/time varies depending on your country but definately going to be worth tuning in for The fossil will be displayed in the National History Museum in London for only one day before being flown back to Oslo, gonna try and see it but guessing the place will be packed
