The Canadian left wing parties signed a historic coalition to bring down the conservative minority.
Harper will probably have to give up his government on Monday.

The beginning of a world trend?
If they would do the same in France, Right wing would have been off the government for years and years now, for the best or the worse.

some people are not thrilled with the idea (obviously it can't please everyone)

What do you guys think? (If you care at all about Canadian's politics)

Funny stuff. What is it with liberals and whining? They always want to change the rules when they loose. You got Hillary whining about Florida and Michigan in the 2008 primary elections, even after the candidates agreed ahead of time that those states would not be included in the tally. You got Al Franken, turning out boxes of ballots found in the trunk of car the Election Oversight person who just happened to be a Democrat. And now, you got the opposition in Canada trying to overturn the will of the people after the conservatives party got the Prime Minister position(Am I understanding this right?). How does one live with oneself after they act so pathetic. Is winning worth having no self esteem whatsoever?

They (left wings) just lost the elections so decided to win it anyway.
Stephen Harper call their action/coalition anti-democratic and says it is not respecting the votes of people.
He will most likely have to give up his government won twice on Monday.

Perhaps when Obama finishes his term here he can come to Canada and help fix it there as well.

yes - but he is required to wear his panties overtop his pants and have a red cape and a tight blue shirt - oh wait, is that the wrong superhero?

I'm not against Obama, but he hasn't proven anything yet.

I'm not even sure who the Canadian president is. Frankly, I wasn't even sure they had politics in Canada. I do know that you have nice geese and bacon however.

Haha. Now that got a chuckle out of me. I was just watching the news (CBS) yesterday and I was watching Katie Curic starting to deliver negative press on Obama, before he has even taken office. I was in shock. How short lived was the honeymoon with the people who facilitated his coronation.

Personally, I'm more satisifed with Obama today, than I was the day he was coronated. Kept Gates sec def, Hillary as Sec of State. Looks like the guy might actually turn out hawkish on defense. I wonder how long the world will continue rejoicing in his victory when he starts dropping bombs on Iran and the border areas of Pakistan. Now if he doesnt raise corporate taxes, I might actually be thrilled in retrospecct that he won.

Of courrse his politicing has, and is going to piss off some extreme leftys, but what can you do. Hes a politician and a smart one. You say what you have to say to get elected.

I think Obama will do as he has said continuously throughout the campaign, which is to decrease the amount of troops in Iraq, in order to increase the amount of troops in Afghanistan. The majority of Americans would be favor of such a plan.

So basically he plans to follow the "Failed Policies of the Bush Administration". After all, that is exactly what they have been doing for most of the last year. Interesting.
