You are sure welcome Steve! We weren't sure this project was going to work very well or much, especially with all the hoopla over it, but we decided to take a chance and try it. We have a big hunky truck (79 Chevy), at times I think we were only getting 8 MPG, but we do need this truck for hauling. There were trial and errors building this project, such as leaks, but that has been all corrected.
Now this is going to be an approximate figure Cbwm, maybe 1/4 cup or less of distilled water and a pinch of sodium hydroxide every 100 miles or so. There is a 50 amp gauge under the dashboard that my husband installed but works the best at 20 amps. I might add this also can be shut off completely by a hand switch and the ignition switch. One could say this goes somewhat like your vehicle battery, how often do you add water to the battery? As for the by products reaction, this answer I am not sure on, only that it comes out the exhaust system as water which goes back into the atmosphere. There has been some problems in this area with these hydrogen boosters trying to pass the emission test, because when the vehicle is being tested there isn't the pollution which would normally be. Therefore, the emission testers are thinking there is something wrong with the vehicle or the testing equipment.
Hydrogen or alcohol was used in the first built vehicles, the first patent for hydrogen was in the 1800's, the second patent was in the 1920's, and more patents after that over the years. In 1970 Jack Nicholson demonstrated on television an Oldsmobile fully converted to all hydrogen, I can't think of the man's name who had this patent but at first was offered millions of dollars for this patent, but refused to give up his patent. Later on he was murdered along with his associates. Hmmmmm, I wonder who murdered him???? But the cat's out of the bag now....
