Obama. Please arrest my Pope. It speaks to Duty and law enforcement.
Religionists of all stripes should demand action against known criminals regardless of religious affiliations.
No one should be above the law.
Is it our duty as people of faith, belief, spirituality of some description to, demand law enforcement.

Is it our duty to demand that the law of the land be upheld?

Should President Obama be encouraged to bring my Pope to secular justice?

Its the law, The pope knew about the child sex scandals that is against any law not to have it reported to the police. "Preventing the course of Justice!"

The Vatican is an independent state over which America has no jurisdiction (of course that's never made any difference before), so I don't see why it should be anything to do with the US President.

Each country has their own law enforcement, it's up to that country to enforce their own set of laws.

As far as Ireland goes, what's new? These child sex scandals were going on in the 70's and 80's here in Spokane, the Bishop would just transfer the priest to the other part of the city. Finally the lid blew off after after many many years, I believe there is still settlements going on with the Catholic Church.

Besides the law enforcement of each country, the ones who have the real power are the members of the Catholic Church, if there are no members, there's no Catholic Church and no Pope. If the members put up with this, so be it....

I think the answer is NO.

If the incident happened in the USA then Obama could jail the person who committed it.

He still couldn't touch the pope.

This is like saying we should jail Obama for a crime one of his citizens committed as he is running the country and he is in charge of them.

That's exactly what I meant and that's exactly what it leads to when people don't stand up for themselves without violence and the backing of law enforcement. In this matter it's children that are and have been traumatized by Pedophile Priests.

I mentioned this before in another thread, the Christian leaders came together over the issue with the Aryan Nation in Idaho, the Christian leaders spread the word to their members, the movement grew, non-Christians and Christians came together, a collective group, with one thing in mind to apply pressure to the Aryan Nation with backing from the FBI, it worked and no violence. Same thing applies here......

Don't forget about the parents who accepted the payoff money.

They usually don't come out with things that can hurt them. He did not reported it because it was a bad advert to their religion. Just like they removed and changed many parts of the bible ages ago, because it wouldn't come off right. Hypocrisy.

The Brits and Germans are making noise. Should this side of the pond be seen as having less concern for our children and in North America, you Yanks are supposed to have the biggest number of victims to avenge.
