How do you know? How do you know the interpretation is correct from a centuries old book that was written by man, and the Bible was rewritten how many times by man over the centuries?

Originally God inspired humans to write history and future. God also sent his one and only son Jesus to this earth to show us the way. Many people walked with Him and saw the miracles that He performed.
The Bible is the best selling book worldwide and is still translated in many languages today.

Yea the bible should be the best selling book i mean i have seen Christians buy tons of bibles to give away to people on the street, and if you go into almost any dollar store you will find unabridged bibles for 1 dollar, plus look at all the time it had to sell.

That is not what the Bible says.

If God is to be the epitome of all characteristics and attributes, the alpha and omega, then He must also be the highest, or lowest, depending on how you think of these things, of evil as well as good.

The Bible even gives us the example of this by having God use genocide in Noah's day.

I cannot imagine anything more evil. Can you?

If you put any name above God for evil, then you break the first commandment.

yes and didn't he tell men to beat their wives? And pimp out their daughters and beat them if they disobeyed? He lead many men throughout history to war - that's murder.... and why does god tell us he is a jealous god but says we cannot be? he also tells us we can't work on Sundays because it's his day - regardless of the fact that people have jobs that require them to work on Sundays? He still us wants to go to church on that day...doesn't he realize THAT'S work?

Yes you're right GASHU. It is man's interpretation of their "visions" or "conversations with god" that lead them to war. Personally, I think these visions and conversations stem from either a mental health issue or some really good drugs.... but yes he did tell them to beat their wives and pimp out their daughters according to some verses in the bible that's what it said. Sorry but I don't remember which verses.

I think I would agree the idea that God is good, but there are people who don't want to be good and do all kinds of cruel things and all other violence. they have made their own choice.

I'd say that God is in your heart. I always think that the strengh of God is in fact that of your belief. Recently, I've just read some books about our sole, mind and heart. I find that all are from our own mind. So when you want something, you should ask from yourself, but not God. Of course you should in the right way.
