I see that the Politics and Religion Forum actually has not been deleted but just disconnected and not accessible except through links, like I happened upon it by looking up my old posts. I'm happy to see that. Here I thought my old posts and threads were just gone, and with them some good conversations.

What I'd like to suggest is: Why don't you just merge Politics and Religion back into General Discussions? Since the posts are older anyway they'll be pushed down. Close all threads older than a year, and if anything gets posted as content that's too bad, close the thread and/or give infractions as you'd otherwise do anyway.

There isn't. That's the announcement Admin made about shutting the P and R forum down, a single thread, not a forum link. There are no active links to this forum now; I found it by looking at old threads I had started.

So, has any consideration been made with this suggestion? It would be nice if at least the belief survey sticky be merged to General Discussions; there are some really good discussions in that thread.
