I noticed that one of my favorite political sites just put up a banner about being entered in the Webby Awards, and I was wondering if anyone else has heard of these awards? The Webby Awards is the leading international honor for achievement in technology and creativity, and is held by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences; which was founded in 1998 to help drive the creative, technical and professional progress of the Internet and evolving forms of interactive media.

The Webby Awards is in its 7th year and I don't suggest waiting to entire. I believe the cutoff this year is December 20th, but don't quote me on that.

Anyway, it's highly competitive, and can do absolute wonders for your online business. My best friend won a Webby Award for his company two years ago, and they more than doubled their revenue the following year simply because of the exposure the Webby Awards got him.
