Wondering how to promote my site AudioSenate. Its a music site if anyone wants to exchange links. I have a few links but I am thinking of advertising via per per click on Clixgalore. Seems ok as you can start for £30. Any other ideas?

Not a fan of banner exchanges. My banners are for Audio Senate are getting 1500:1 click thru rates or something stupid like that. Maybe I joined an anti music banner exchange or something.

Unfortuately that's probably quite a normal click-through rate. Hardly anyone clicks on banners nowardays. Link exchanges etc. are probably the best. I don't know if you need to put a lot of money into it but Google Adwords is always worth a look.

I have tried loads of different banners and most are getting click rates rates like that or possibly a bit higher. Although I had one:

One big purple beveled button in a quite but not too dark shade. White font in big letters accross it saying "Click here to laugh."

And while all my other banners are getting 0.1% click thru rates it is getting 1.3% or even higher on some days. Im not quite sure how it does it. I guess people just like humour sites.
