Ok, so if you do the math it only works out at 50% if you have unique visitors viewing only a single page of the site, but it might be worth a shot.

I came accross them yesterday and wondered if anyone has used them before - considering how targetted they are I'm tempted to give it a go... despite them using exit popups.

Anyone like to comment about them?

I have never used them, but it very similiar to webplosion (except that webplosion is not on exit)...

Webplosion does work though...wether the traffic is converting into leads is another story.

But w3exit only accepts webmaster related sites, so it seems like it would be very targetted for myself and you. I think I will give it a try! Send me your ref link if they have any...

The only thing I wish it would do is only display 1 exit popunder per unique per 24 hours (so the user does not get another popunder everytime they leave the homepage and come back). You only get credited for each unique anyway, but how often does this reset??

Well, I've not signed up yet - so I don't know if they have a referral ID (I've not seen mention of any)... it looks like they use it on their own site but it isn't really "big enough" to hang around and see how long it takes before I get a new window. I suspect the script sets a cookie when it is first triggered (on exit of the first page, so not a true exit program in that sense) - as to if this is a JavaScript cookie or server set cookie I've got no idea, if the former then only those using JavaScript will trigger it.

This certainly is tempting, but the fact it is a popup really did put me off... having said that, the pages that opened for me were relevant and I would have had a look around on the opened site if I had the time. Not so sure I would get accepted tho, I've got a JavaScript frame buster on my site (but I can't remember if it is part of the page as default or only when the first page is loaded). I think I'll have to think about this one a little more...

If you use it, I'll be interested in the results - should be a better "activity" rate than other comparable programs!

Found this which is good...

Quote:
Only 1 popunder window is ever displayed to each visitor. This ensures your visitors are not deluged with tons of popunders but just 1 surfer-friendly popunder.
I am going to try it and I'll let you know how it goes...

Fingers crossed! I think you are in a better position than I am to evaluate it, since my visitors don't tend to stay around very long after getting the information they came for.

Using php and sessions/cookies you could make it so the popup code will only be in the document the first time they are on that day and no more after that.

Hey redcircle, Welcome aboard!

I have been trying the program out for the past two days:
Total credits earned (plus advertising credits purchased if any) 1720
Total unique visitors to be sent to your site 108
Total unique visitors already sent to your site 752

The popunder is used with FWT. We have had many new members in the past couple days, but I can't say how many came over by viewing FWT and then clicking over to Webmaster-Talk. I should have used my referral link on the link

I believe it is only one popunder per session that they are using.

I signed up with them yesterday, and I'm approved if I remove the JavaScript frame breaker from my site... I was in the middle of working on a bit of code that would remove it only when necessary when I got a message that the account was suspended. That was about 2 hours ago.

Either, they haven't paid their bills or the site is so popular that they need to buy more bandwidth for the month... I really hope it is because they are popular, this program looks so promising.

Did you email them?

Let me know what happens. I don't think is that they don't have enough bandwith. It is probably a technical issue.

I just got this:

Dear w3exit member,

Our site is currently offline as we're having problems with our hosting company : (

As such, popunders are not being served on your site. We're working to get w3exit back online quickly. You do need NOT to do anything as once w3exit.com is restored, the popunders will appear as normal.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please bear with us as we work out startup pains. w3exit will get better as we progress!

If you've any queries, I can be reached at this email address.

Michael

well,

pop-up exit might work but you know most people use pop-up blockers and even they don't the are not many users who like the windows that open when they colse one.

cheers
