add your link to my directory at www.HotlinksDirectory.com No link back is required but if you do you will get a higher rank, thus giving you more exposure.
BTW, have you made any replies in the Link Exchange forum? Though it does not give others permission to PM about links, I'm wondering if this is why it was sent.
I don't know if this is the case, but sometimes a member may get overzealous when it comes to a reply about a link and then spam someone with their offer. Hopefully, he will understand and not make this mistake again.

A directory is a link exchange, but probably not the type that you wanted. That was the reason for the PM. Hopefully, members will realize that other members consider a directory different than, or separate from, a link exchange.
