Anybody found these to be valueable in terms of monetization?

Considering adding a gallery to a couple of my forums, and would like to know if they worth the effort of monetizing.

I haven't tracked Adsense on galleries specifically, and haven't attemtped to sell ads just on the galleries, but I've noticed traffic coming just because I have galleries. Some of my forums lend themselves to galleries, though. Hobby topics, and people really like to look at pictures of other people's collections, etc.

The forum I am looking to add it into is an ATV forum. The gallery would be very much loved and used. I just like to look at the income potential of anything I add to the site.

Yea, ATV is a subject that would absolutely work well with a gallery.

As soon as I implemented a gallery on one of my forums, I immediately saw an increase in the number of signups. Don't think it helped out my monitization, but it did help to bring more interest to my forum and the current members loved it.

I haven't added a gallery, let alone tracked it, but I suspect they would return decent results if you handel it right, and if you users actually use it on a good scale.

It would all depend on the subject of your forum really, if your forum is all about programming, I don't think a gallery would do much for the site.

However, if the forum was based around customised cars I could see a very big interest in the galleries as people would post pictures of their cars, engines, seats and parts.

I'll agree with Karl. It depends on your niche. If you're targetting parenting/cars/images, then yes, I would say a gallery is a must.

I think gallery will get you alot of traffic depending on content ...

Depending on your forums topic it can really be a good strategy to get more singups, and that will probably lead to more income.

Everybody likes to be nosey, especially with photographs and images. But again, it depends on your target audience and website subject.
