warez sites are full of nothing but lazy rippers who don't care to take money out someone else's pocket. I suffer greatly from them and have made it my mission in life to put a boot in the *** of every ripper I can

Yes, very well said. I hate it when I find other people selling a piece of my friends software. One of the biggest warez uses that people are unaware of really, are all of these myspace turnkeys. I know the guy who made the popular smiley ones and the blue and orange ones.

We're out to make them even better and more secured. But I hear ya on that completely. BOO TO THEM... we should set taz out to stomp on them. :taz: :taz: :taz:

Ha ha. Our product, XtraUpload, is too secured to be distrobuted.
If you want to sell something, make sure it's secure.

well often times the hackers can get around that. You just have to secure it extremely well and make sure you have includes and such that are very hard to get through.

I mean let's face it, some of the biggest pieces of software have been hacked. vBulletin, WHMAP, IPB, I mean, it's almost inevitable...

Well yes, but I just took a look at the WHMAP. They have a zended version, and what I can see is that they can take away the encryption from Zend. vBulletin and IPB are not encoded so they can be hacked...

As far as I know, Ioncube can't be decoded so we're safe.

Good luck with that...I work with Howard who owns Pirate Reports (Jelsoft's copyright protection firm) and I've learned alot from him. Ioncube can be cracked. vBSEO uses it to encrypt their product and it has been cracked and is on the warez circuit. Everything can be cracked...don't be fooled.

The best defense is a strong offense. I have learned to research my buyers with many methods before releasing my products to them and have reduced my fraud by 90%

Well, I'd in fact be interested in this.

How can I contact you regarding this whole thing?

Yeah, John, I completely agree with you on that one. I mentioned it earlier as well. I think everything can be cracked... sooner or later.

Either way it's not good.
Apps are still copyrighted software, and even using it is not very good.

You can add me to one of the IM's listed in my profile if you'd like. I won't be online much until the 5th but would be happy to discuss my sales approach with you. As a matter of fact, I'm considering submitting an article here outlining my anti-fraud techniques.

So let's boil this down.

An ipod costs 300.00 but you don't have the money. So, because it is so expensive, its okay to steal it?

A car costs 15,000. Because it is so expensive, its okay to steal it?

Pay for it when you can afford it. Steal it when you can't.

Isn't this selective ethics?

What a analogy.

My software/scripts cost as high as $350. Do people steal it?
No!

Think about it; the owner or related of the software does need money to live, so why steal it?

There are always opensource alternatives... photoshop > gimp, Notepad > Notepad ++

And the list goes on.
