Autosurf scams definitely are not the way to go about it

The simple fact of the matter is you need some sort of skill to make money, whether it be online or not. Do you have any skills that could earn money on the internet? If not choose something your interested in and start learning.

I see one critical flaw in your way of thinking. You keep mentioning things you can do that trade time for money. Browsing web sites for money, posting in forums for money. This is fine, but you'll be working yourself to death and your revenues will never really increase.

You need to find a way to build a system, and let it work for you. Let it make money when you're out having a good time, or sleeping.

That's how most of the people here did it - they built content sites, or e-commerce sites, or blogs, that make money 24/7/365 even when they're not sitting at a computer.

The key is leverage... leverage your time, leverage your money, leverage your skill.

This is a question I get asked often, my answer is always the same. Create high quality relevant content your visitors will read and will want more of.

There is no magic lightswitch, it takes high quality content and lots of hard work.

I made money by reading every book about building websites I could find, reading every website about building and marketing websites I could find and then sitting on my backside for two years neglecting health and friendships.

That's how you do it. Blood, sweat and tears.

I can't think of any other way of doing it than hard work.

Well it seems to me that you're not really into creating something, you'd rather provide a service? What about directory submissions for sites? Or learning how to link build and offer that as a service? If you spend tons of time on the net, learn how to do something that's of value to other people and you'll be able to make money helping them.

Cant agree more with this! This is the real magic - you setup some site and you can more or less leave it to earn money for you whilst you are off doing something else. Just add some new stuff every now and then and you're laughing

You dont need to know/do webdesign, you can get a lot of free templates and CMS systems that require very little knowledge to get started. After that you can just write about what you want. Its not a magic bullet for easy money - it takes work but once its going you can make a fair amount of cash. I'd say dont expect to give up your day job initially...

Would it be a good idea to go around your local shops and build websites for them? Like litte mama papa shops and resturants?

Can you like use free web templates for them too?

Think that would work?

That's definitely a bad idea because local shops do request unique websites

There are so many different ways to make money online. Any one of them can work. There isn't just one way to do it.

No offensive, but if you want to make money, don't just be an online bum - start learning some skills (programming, photoshop, etc.).

Agreed.

You spend 12 hours online wasting your time? I spend that amount of time working on my sites. I guess that's why I earn enough to work in my pajamas while sipping a cold beer... I don't even like to open my messenger app so I don't get people bothering me with dumb conversations while I try to concentrate.

I hardly ever use messengers for this very reason. You cannot be productive with people messaging you constantly.

Wow! I can't believe it! I found others that don't use IM services! Woo Hoo! For a while I thought I was the only one on the Internet that didn't, lol.

I find those systems (and text messaging on a phone--it's a phone for crying out loud!) to be rather unproductive for the amount of time that goes into them.

Look at how big business is done--in person. If you can't be there, video conference. If not that, then phone. If not that, then fax. Then email, and then IMs and regular mail.

If someone wants something done, they call me. It's the next best thing to a personal meeting.

Now that doesn't mean IM systems won't work for other businesses, it's just not the most efficient for me.

No money is easy money. You have to work hard to earn it. Wasting your time and being lazy won't make you earn anything. There is no "easy" way to earn money online. There are ALOT of ways to make money online, you just have to find out what you want to do (designing, programming, coding, etc.), and practice, and learn, and earn. Posting for money is not a type of job. It's just wasting your time, and not even worth it. The amount of time you spent posting to earn, could have been used for doing other important work.

it wouldnt hurt. you can always make free business cards and start doing basic webpages that wont take up to much of your time. the most you spend is the shipping on the cards. you can make a name and get started fast. as long as your good at webdesign. Maybe you can work out a deal with a new hosting company starting out and make a package deal for your customers.

To add to the above posters;

There are plenty of 'systems' and 'easy ways' to make cash on the web - the tricky part is finding them.

That usually requires a mentor/example; or a combination of the right skills to discover them yourself. The only way I know of to build up your skill set is to choose an activity, study and then practice it over and over.

Eventually you will reach a tipping point where it gets easier to earn... oh, and don't sell your assets! (this includes your time)

I'd recommend starting your own IPB modding service. Charge competitive prices for IPB forum and modification installations and above all, always put the customers first.
