Hi, im quite new to the whole money making game and i was wondering if you could help me. While reading this fourm and some others ive seem some weird key words like: CPM, CPC, SOE, click through and more and i just dont know what they mean, so firstly could you tell me what they mean.

Secondly i see lots of people here make $100 to $40! monthly, and i just wondered what ad scheme is that from and may i ask how do you do it? whats your site about, how do you get people to click your ads, how do you get the traffic?

that would be 40$ or 100$ a day

let me start:
CPM = cost per 1000 impressions.
this is a pay per view model. If you have a website that servers 1000 page impressions, and you earn 10$ this means you have a CPM of 10$

CPC = Cost per Click
many advertisement programs like AdSense use this model: you get paid per click on an ad. This can vary a lot depending on the ads. anywhere from 0,02$ to 20$ per click

SEO = Search Engine Optimization; all activities you do to get your website ranked higher in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs)

CTR = Click Through Rate
This is the total amount of adviews divided by the clicks. So if 100 people view your ad, and 2 people click on it, you'll have a CTR of 2%

many people here have a blog or website about a certain subject (niche). They get traffic in by writing good/unique content and optimizing their pages.
Place ads on your site using AdSense and your done!

People click ads if it's relevant to what they're looking for (go AdSense!) and if it's blended nicely with your content. You get traffic to your site by advertising it, optimizing it for search engines, etc. Don't expect to get rich quick overnight easily though, there's a lot of hard work put into this :001_rolleyes:
