I am desperately in need of tips and advice on making a living online. Have earned a little here and there and need to break even. I have a site that sells artifacts and carvings and a blog.

Give me tips on traffic and maximizing on adsense earnings.

Thanks

New Digital I spent a year online before I made a nickle. Most of the time I spent using google adwords which is a very competitive environment for getting traffic. I got tired of Google disabling my ads due to poor click through rates etc. I am a member of the comission junction network as a publisher who directs traffic to other companies websites.
After two years of trial and error the only successful campiagns are with E-bay.

About a year ago I discovered a source of low cost quality traffic which enables me to make 1000-3000 per month directing it to e-bay.

I run a company at webtrafficsupply.com which sells this type of targeted traffic. I currently have many e-bay affiliates purchasing traffic from me as well.

I have many competitors one is easysitehits.com which I have also used with e-bay in a profitable way. You can check them out as well. Both of us have a wide selection of targeted traffic simlary priced. The advantages of this type of traffic vs google adwords is
1. much less time
2. extreamly low cost (profitable)
3. links are not open to click fraud by competitors.

The main disadvantage is there is no pre-sell since there is no ad so conversion rates are lower.

As far as Adsense source, I am close to purchasing a product by Joel Comm at
adsense-secrets.com/index1.html since I need help here as well.
Check out the sites they may answer some of your questions. If not maybe I can help.

good luck!

I think the framework of this site is setup quite well where the admins here have surrounded this community with top earners and skilled veterans of many areas, lots of hype and lots of activity...

Lee's first post in this thread as an example and the atmosphere I have observed so far on this forum is that in good time we will all sort ourselves in the right direction and find the help we need through creating relationships, finding contacts and sharing ideas, etc. The benefits of this forum will be recognized by sticking around as the digital dust settles and contributing positively as it does. We may need to mingle for a while among our own peers at the same earnings level, or just read and silently absorb all the advice we can find here...... surely someday with an honest effort, hard work, and patience we will find a mentor above and beyond us that will show us some tricks or we'll group together in a nice mix and find ourselves progressing to the next level.

I have some posts where I did not get the feedback I was hoping for but I moved around a bit and will revisit them again soon. (hint hint, all gurus, search posts by mondala and give feedback on unanswered threads! )

Anyhoot, I guess my suggestions is don't expect miracles overnight, I've studied and read hours on hours for two years straight now and the key is not to get to anxious or overboard. Keep your enthusiasm and do what you can in the now and one day you'll start to see hurdles pass and success at last.

Cheers & Kudos to Earnersforum!

I'm still looking for a mentor! & replys to my threads! 0 so far. :taz:

There's a pattern in this forum, just like there's a pattern to any tried-and-true article posted that isn't some sort of get-rich-quick thing.

1) No one blows up quick. OK, you get a 2% that can go viral and make lots of cash, but that's not going to be the norm.
2) Patience. I want to be a copywriter so good that people turn to me to make their websites truly -say- something. Is that going to happen overnight? Nope. Am I going to stop trying? Nope.
3) Use what's here already. I kind of get the feeling that some people feel this forum isn't "giving" them anything - I've learned so much from this place! The big earners aren't going to tell everything -- even the self-employed have proprietary data!

Just my two cents here, natch, but I sort feel off-put when someone comes in and talks about forming a "team" - we're already a -community-, can we please work on that first before we start spiraling off?

This forum providing the right way to do things is what is needed.

I am trying to do things the right way, but all too often I come across so many doing it the wrong way that it just gets frustrating. I am relatively new to being serious about making money from the web, but not completely new to the idea.

I guess the time has come for me to get more serious and hopefully using these forums will help my efforts greatly.

Ok, I first got into an MLM. On 12May06 I got into my first online business.
I am still in it. It is a health related MLM. I need the product anyway. It is sort of like a discount built in. I have done alot of things wrong. One I put too much money into leads. They are expensive. Our downline is working now to get us all to share in the expense by sharing the costs.

Prospects: slow growth, many dropout, it is not what most of us (me too) are looking for - but I need the product. If I can keep it paid for then why not?

Good post, Lee. I agree 100%. While many people are concerned about how FAST they make their money, your point illustrates the fact that HOW they make their money is just as important. It all boils down to CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT. Real content--not spammy stuff. Real content that people can actually use and share.

This is gotta be one of the best forums I've found. I love the idea of putting up the earning ranges as credentials. This way I know whether I am taking advice from some noname loser or a real guru!

Keep up the good work!

Well said, Lee. This is one of the next interesting forum I have ever read. The first thing that interest me is... well, computer geek stuff. You don't need to know about it.

When Shakespeare quoted that Greek, saying "To thine own self be true," I think the crux of it is this: Each of us has some philosophy about how to live our lives (even if we've never actually put it into words); when we do things that run counter to that perhaps unspoken philosophy, whatever it is, we know it and we don't feel comfortable with it. It may be different for different people, but each of us has it. Question is, are we willing to do stuff we don't truly believe in. That's where the "sleeping at night" part comes in.

My $.02.
