Googles algorithm changes for landing pages is a joke. I've got lots of work to do to try and minimize those $10 suggested bids that killed some of my sites.

Anyone else effected?

Google has been nothing but trouble for me since the BigDaddy (read: BigDisappointment) update. Supplemental hell, pages deindexed, SERP position drops, problems with tags, etc. Every day it's some new thing. I don't even use them for my personal search much anymore because the results I've been getting back are lousy.

Yeah I got hammered by Big Daddy also. One site I had was banging out mid to high xx a day and it got all but indexed..lol. Talking about a hit to the pocket. Hence my red color instead of blue.

Google definitely needs to really get back to concentrating on their search engine instead of all the other crap that means nothing.

Who said they are spam sites? I dont think I said they were spam sites! I have a joke site that dropped from 14k pages to a few hundred, a credit card site that dropped by 2/3d's and the list can go on. So before you incenuate that all big D update did was can spam sites you may want to do some more research.

Yeah, ok sorry. I thought you were incenuating that the sites I had plummit were spam.

I have had a few of my sites bounce back and go beyond the number of pages that were previously indexed, but some are still clawing their way out of the mess the last 2-3 updates G made. Over at DP you can read stories of the same issues I am having and I dont believe the G Updates problem is finished, but we shall see.

My flagship site is being outranked by a site that's got like 8 lines of white text on a white background at the bottom of almost every page. Go go gadget spam filter, eh? And I think it's plain to see that Google is aware that there is a big problem with this update, since none of their bloggers (ie Matt Cutts) or forum posters are addressing the issue, except in the most extreme cases.

In my opinion, Google's listings are taking a turn for the worse lately. And I'm talking from the perspective of a searcher.

It seems like they have over-done it with this "war on spam" and the collateral damage is significant.

I'm liking Yahoo and Ask.com more and more every day for my own personal searching.

Since the BigDaddy update Google result are very instable. I have one site that got booted from 100k+ to 200 pages. Traffic dropped accordingly.
Another site is acting very strange in the traffic from google. This week I get traffic form some keywords, next week from total different ones, not having much to do with the site content.

I am waiting for Google to calm down and sort their search s**t once and for all. Meantime, I have one eye towards Yahoo and MSN.
