Which are you into right now, ( for blogs ), high-paying keywords or just anything to write about as long as you are interested with it?

Well generally the higher the pay of a keyword the less clicks your going to have on it. I would say write about something that you know or have interest in learning about.

I always say I would rather have 30 clicks at 10 cents instead of 1 click at a dollar. But if you can get more traffic or become a high ranked site in the serps for your high paying keyword then yeah go for it. But the likelyhood of earning a lot of money with mesothelioma or other high paying keywords is a crap shoot.

"airplane accident attorney" was once pushed up to $99/click on Overture (no joke). If I was really into keeping up with celebrity gossip, I could blog about it all day...but the clicks aren't worth much. I could start an industry news blog for SEO/SEM's, but they're pretty ad-blind.

For a content site, you have to know about (or at least be very interested in) what you're writing about unless you want to be bored to tears after a month. But not all hobbies pay the bills.

i do it for what i know... unless i have a partner interested in the topic then i get it going and let them run with it... i lived by the do what you enjoy motto... so i doubt i will ever run any sites that don't appeal to me... no i may own them or have partnership... just not RUN them

Noone is going to read a blog about something you obviously do not know much about. Then again you need to balance that with decent keywords. But i would stick to the stuff you know.
