What domains do you own that you're glad you caught before someone else did?

So far none of mine are making much, but some of them are for products that haven't been released yet. If I were to actually develop some of them, they might at least pay for themselves :tongue_smilie:

While we are on the topic. I am always looking for good, one-two word domains, especially product specific ones that have an eCommerce angle.

We are about to pull the trigger to sell a domain for 500k and I would like to reinvest as much of that as possible into more domains. If you hook me up with a deal we'll pay a 5-10% commission depending on the quality and costs.

You register them all or buy a few or what?

The only domains I really felt that I liked was www.DebateHQ.com and www.TeenDebate.com and www.CheatingSchool.com and www.VirtualPetForum.com

The rest are only medioce in my opinion.

Funny Story.

Around 2000, I checked www.GamersRadio.com and it was available. A few months later I went back to register it and both .com and .net had been registered. I was crushed, but I watched them. I signed up for RegisterFly and caught both domains when they expired. I was lucky.

I owned nukethemes.net, .org, nuke-themes.com, .net and .org at one time. I didn't capitialize on them properly. I did manage to sell a few for a couple hundred dollars.

I think my favorite domain is www.MyOtherEmail.com. I picked it up 2002. I happened to stumble across an expired domain list and saw the .com and .net. I snagged both.

www.RTFG.net is kind of fun too.... :-)

I have a curious Q, just when exactly did you buy Indonesia.com ? hehehe You're one fast buyer! Perfume.com is really..woah!

Chocobay.com ( a joint partnership, we love "bay" words )

I have a question. Will it help if I buy domains with - ( dashes ) ? maybe just a dash on the whole domain name.

This is the same as the ones that are above. Basically, if you copy and paste those characters above, it will translate into domains like the two above. This only works in Firefox currently, but will be integrated into Internet Explorer 7, which is in Beta now but will be packaged with Vista.

In other countries, the keyboard can type out these characters, but not in internet explorer. Once IE7 hits mainstream, the value of IDNs (International Domain Names) will, in theory, go through the roof.

My favorite is my main domain INTUITIVE.COM, even if most people can't spell it properly, but I also have:

and a pile more, many of which I would entertain offers on [buy or possibly trade] if one catches your eye... :-P
