Ive been a webmaster for over 7 years now, and i've developed dozens and dozens of sites. The first batch of sites i decided to release sold something. I wanted to see if the internet community would be interested in buying things. The second batch of sites had alot of content on it, or a blog per say.

Its no secret that big sites like Google, and even smaller sites like eBaumsworld make so much money because they have alot of traffic. Because they have alot of traffic, they can make alot of money off advertising. Therein lies one problem. How does one GET traffic?

I took the most obvious methods : posted on forums. When this failed, I knew I had to find out the secret of getting traffic. I even hired some internet marketing experts who told me it would take months to even years to develop traffic that good. I didnt have that much patience. I knew there had to be a secret to getting high traffic quickly.

After months of research, I found it. After the first day of testing this method, I got 50,000K visitors to my site. I hit a gold mine! I could easily sustain this traffic, but keeping up a website just was just the only provlem. I only around 2 ads all over my sites, and with the traffic I was getting, I could easily make around a $100 a day. If you keep making different websites that dealt with different topics, it could be more. The problem is I had to keep updating my site with fresh content in order to serve the return visitors. I couldnt keep up. You couldnt keep doing the same thing everyday because many people would not like it (you'll understand later). You'd have to take it slowly in the beginning. After that day when 50,000K people came to my website, the next day it was a little bit lower but it still was good. Traffic lasts around a week, and then seems to die out. But, after you do it for a while, people will get accustomed to your site and will start to come back.

I knew exactly where to get what people want, how to spread it (legally, not even spam), and how to keep doing it, over and over again. If you keep doing this for months on end, you will end up with return visitors galore. One website that I know that is using this method started up around a year ago and currently has an alexa ranking of around 2,000.

Whats the point of all this? I want to get in another part of web business, one that's profitable without sustaining a website. For all you guys making money off your sites through traffic and advertising, this would be a goldmine for you. I personally would rather get affiliate commission and making $1,000's per month off that than keep up a website.

For anyone that is currently making $1,000's on per month (I even see people making $50,000 per month, WOW), I would like to know currently what fields of the internet are bringing you this much money. Is it keeping up a website and advertising? Is it affiliate marketing?

For any help I would gladly disclose my webtraffic secret and believe me this is huge. Let the discussion begin. I believe that the sharing of success and information is the key for building an internet empire.

Erm, I make low-mid $x,xxx a month, but I don't have any secrets. Forum posting has worked for me, and most of my traffic comes from Yahoo and MSN and a few backlinks. I WISH I had a cool secret or knew something else that other people didn't know

Im actually writing a full article about it on my website. Its going to be pretty in depth but its not done yet. When it is, I will let you all know. I dont want to waste the secret on just some people who are going to ruin it, so I want to share it with those people are know what theyre doing on the internet and actually have some useful tactics to provide back as well. So, as a result, it won't be completely public for everyone to see.

When you read the article, i'll show you an example blog i've created and how exactly I got my information on it (you have to know what people want, too), and how it spread like wildfire.

Like I said, i'm really not interested in being a webmaster and more interested in doing affiliate marketing and such.

Actually, it's not a total secret. In fact, you may already know what it deals with very vaguely, but I dont think you've ever taken it to this extent before. I can tell you that if you start a blog right now and do it right, you'll have loads of visitors tomorrow.

I just got out of a bad deal with a guy from Canada. We were building, I was doing the grunt work, a site built around educational links for each subject matter taught in schools. I had even gone as far as breaking it down into topics within subjects, i.e., Middle School - Language Arts - Verbs - Adverbs, get the idea? I am also looking into starting an indie record label site.

Well, try offering ebooks on your sidebar, as well as chitika ads, I think they earn mostly on ads, and affiliates.

The secret I believe is in products and services. Affiliating is also a very strong market. If you can penetrate any of these markets successfully, you will undoubetly have a money maker in the midst...

For all sites - the major secret to successfully making a large sum of money in any industry is research. Find a weak niche that has no dominant competitor, jump in, develop the correct strategy and plan, execute - and take over the market. It's that simple. Find the niche that will pay off, and invest plenty of money.

Don't just into any saturated markets...or any "Fads". That'll definitely kill you in the long run (unless you want a short term boost of money...then build and sell). I would definitely recommend "running a business" as opposed to making a few sites, then just letting it sit there and hoping that people click on your ads...

I'm asking this because I want to step away from being a webmaster and I want to know what else is making some money on the internet right now.

You also say you can drive 50k uniques very quickly and your worried about making $1,000 monthly.

Ok lets take a quick look at how easily things can be misread and can be quoted without context to be calling what I have B.S.

By definition a secret is something that is kept from people who will abuse it, and revealed to those who actually deserve to know.

This is not a contradiction because my website is not public. I said many times in my previous posts that I will let the people who share useful information on other ways to make money on the internet in on the traffic secret. In fact, let me quote my own posts :

First of all, it wasn't $1,000 monthly. It was $1,000's of dollars monthly. Big difference. But if you also read the rest of my posts, you'll see how the traffic I get is useless to me personally :

Well if you guys can't logically put reason together then it's not my fault. When he posted about my so called "contradictions and bull****" on my post, I showed that he misread what I was saying, and all I got was a reply of "yap yap yap". It's funny when you dont have a returning argument and resort to gibberish.

But anyway that's besides the point. I'm came here to post for all those web guru's who are experts in affiliate marketing to help show me how to get in, or how to maintain a steady profit by other means and in return I will give out my traffic secrets to them. If they want, I will divulge my traffic secret first, because I am not scared that they will not like it. I know 100% this works and can make any blog successful.

So you're asking me to just make my secret public, and return get nothing? That shouldnt be so. Im looking for a mututal relationship where I help someone out in a field that they may not be so strong in (or maybe they are strong in it and simply need more traffic) and in return will help me get into other money making parts of the internet.

In fact, let me prove it to you. I was recently expiramenting with one of the domains that I own, xfm.net, as a tech blog. If you don't believe I own it, just ask me to change the frontpage to whatever you want and i'll do it. If you go to www.alexa.com, and type in www.xfm.net, you will see that in the last few months, my traffic surged. This, was a result of my traffic secret. I took down the blog a few weeks ago because i'm turning it into something else. As of now its a blank page, but Alexa still shows what it used to look like as a thumbnail image. Over a period of that month i ranked in over 500K visitors. Also, most of that traffic wasnt caught by Alexa because Alexa isn't very accurate since not everyone has the Alexa toolbar installed, especially when alot of traffic comes from other countries. This is just one example.

Well you have to understand where we are coming from. I'm sure we have all read posts just like your about a thousand times. And we don't hide info and then trade it here, we post what we find and what tips we have for everyone to see regardless of what we get in return. It's called helping fellow webmasters out with information.

This is what we do, help each other out.

Hi,

I understand where you are coming from but I don't think you understand where I am coming from. I am not hiding the secret completely; I am keeping it from those hands who still dont understand the concept of business on the web. As I said before, I will definatley share it with those who have experience in the web and success and are making a good amount of money right now. And in return, I would ask them to help me out too.

I really want to refrain from just making it PUBLIC for JUST ANYONE to see because it tooks months of research, trial and error, and quite a bit of money to figure out how to get traffic successfully and quickly.

That's why this is a discussion. I want people to discuss what fields they are involved with on the internet and how they go about it so that I can start on the right track.
