Hey guys, am wondering what is the average conversion from free members to premium members can one expect percentage wise. Lets sayI have all these benifits and same price http://www.sprintusers.com/premium.php

What would a good conversion percentage be? would 10% be good?

Thanks

When your talking about community membership the number of members, their level of activity, the unique info/services that your community offers is going to drive the conversion to subscribers more than the specific benefits.

I'd say if you have a very sticky/addictive site then you may get 20% or more of ACTIVE users to subscribe to be premium members.

10% of all users is IMO not realistic. 10% of active users could be a realistic goal once you've created a sticky/addictive community.

When I ran a community with 300 posters, I had 3 people who were interested in premium membership. However, it should be dully noted that 2 of those 3 people I knew in real life, and so they had a higher level of trust than the other poster living in Canada.

If you're known to be relliable, and if the forum is stable enough, expect at least a few select people.

I would never signup for subscriptions to have forums feature privileges or badges and stuff like that so I don't expect anyone eles to want to either. Am thinking of offering so much benefits that they'll be foolish not to join. When I have the result, I post here.

My aim is to have atleast 10% to convert to premium.

10% would be very good, expect 5% or less.

somehow, I believe forum is free. ONly if your forum are really offering some premium services, then it is possible to spark interests of paying the service.
