Wow, I'm impressed right now. I'm trying out the vBulletin demo and it's so awesome, too bad I don't have money. But once I do I might purchase it.

This is exactly what im gonna do. Im trying to start a forum up. Its definatley not easy. But if it becomes more succesful i will switch to VB. I dont want to risk getting hacked. Its good to know that its easy to switch over

I don't use phpBB because of its insecurity and ugliness (but it has a nice range of mods)

I use myBB, at least for now, since I don't have enough money for IPB (which i prefer over vB :P)

If I could, I would just use myBB since its quickly updated, easy to skin and a nice support group, but I can see your points about vB just giving the impression the owner is committed etc.

I tend to migrate my phpBB forums to vBulletin once they start getting really popular. A forum that is getting 1000+ posts per week is typically earning enough in adsense to pay for the license within 1-2 months.

I'm happy again lol. I think I just sold a website, and that money will be invested for vBulletin .
