One of my sites has a number of ads running on it, which are due for renewal soon. This month was my first at running private ads, so I'm still new.

Half way through the month someone contacted me about a banner spot, however I told him they were sold out and I could do a good deal on other available placements.

How do you work around this problem, i.e. when you have spots sold out and people want to buy? Do you keep them on a mailing list for when one comes available? Do you request a deposit from your current advertiser half way through the month to secure another month's placement?

I'm trying to work this as best as possible so my sites run with private ads constantly and I'm not trying to find new advertisers at the start of each month.

you would normally set up an subscription up with paypal.

This way , normally if everything goes normal , you ll get paid ev month.

What i do is charge always for 3 months the first time(
and one week before the new period starts , ask if hes going to carry on (have your clients on msn or email them)
and then setup a monthly sub with paypal.
