I have been reading the forums and learning a lot about monetization and now I want to try out some of the techniques I learned on here. The only problem is, I am 17 years old. So, legally, I cannot have a paypal account. I tried looking for this on their website but I found nothing on it. So I was wondering, does anyone know if I can still use my bank account, but have one of my parents enter their information? Or would I have to use their bank account if I used their info? Because I know a lot of kids under 18 sign up and just lie about their age and never get caught, but I would rather avoid this route. Any help is appreciated

Techincally, you can still use it. Basically, all i would do is open up a bank account if you havent already, get a debit card from there [its like $1.25/month] and then put your info from there, its simple.

I wouldnt really go throught litagations on doing any suspicious activity however, setting it up in your parents name would only mean your earnings would go to there bank account if you decide to transfer it there.

you can also have it on your fathers or mothers name and then simply add your own bank account too it.

I may go that route, using one of my parents names and still use my bank account. I wasn't sure if you could do that or not.

Yes, have your parents set it up for you, it can be easily transferrable once you turn 18.

Right now my adsense account is set up in my parent's name. However the bank account tied to the paypal account is my own.

Do they even ask your age? As far as I know they don't but don't quote me on that.

You can use your Bank Account as well as a Debit Card that is attached to it.. So actually all you need is..

a) Checkings Account
b) Debit Card (you can get this from your checkings

)

I'm sure they do, but I figured everyone here was experienced in paypal and just wanted to see if using my parents name was the best way to do it. It says on their site that you must be 18 to have an account, so I figured they would tell me I couldn't have one at all.

Yea, if you asked PayPal yourself, they'd most likely just say you can't have an account.

Having worked for paypal (europe - UK & ireland) as far as i remember you need to be 18 to have an account full stop, if your parents have one you can use it im sure, but they would have to be the ones who signed up for it... i know this doesent help ya, but be careful!
