If you want to get started in an internet business, start by reading these forums every day for about six months. Identify a niche that interests you and build a site.
Maybe a site for drummers, since you've played all of your life. It doesn't have to be fancy, just effective. Maybe it's a review of drum kits, or a drummers forum. Then, drive traffic to the sites, and profit by selling ad space on your site via Google or one of the other companies on here.
If you wish to strike up a mentorship with someone here, you may want to stay away from the cheesy salesman posts and instant message someone privately. The folks on here are very generous with their time, but they don't respond to overbearing assualts from n00bs. (A category in which I dwelled just a few months ago.)
