Yes that is right, there are way too many people obsessed with myspace.

In every page of my new posts list there is a topic that has something to do with myspace.

I really don't see the infatuation with myspace. Granted it makes you money, but it is a stupid and unethical way to make money.

(Let me direct you to Tyler's post for the low down on unethical Not allowed to post the url, but go to his blog to find the post I hate myspace site)

I have used myspace before yes, also to make sites, but it was extremely boring (although profitable).

I would much rather work and create a site from scratch then go to a forum buy an account and just spam it and make money in a few hours.

What would you rather be doing, making a site and working your arse off on it, or making a site and making a ****load in a few hours and then getting bored of it

Some people annoy me

I think as long as your not spamming the hell out of it then its a great tool. I've found several groups that pertain to my forum and its brought alot of new members.

Its really brought the forum to life. MySpace is huge right now and if your forum is toward a younger audience then its probably a good source for getting members to your site.

Yeah, sorry I forgot to say what I was ranting about. More so myspace resource sites, as most of the time they don't appreciate myspace enough.

It is like prostitution, they are paying a whore (myspace account owners) to have sex with them (spam the accounts) so they can get pleasure ($$$)

It's true and you know it :P

I will be using myspace to promote my next site. However the site I am promoting relates to Music so I am actually targetting members with the same interests. I won't be spamming either.

I would rather be making a ****load of money and then when I get bored of it, sell it. Most of us are here to make money.

Not all MySpace marketers are spammers.

Marketing with myspace is kinda stupid unless you are selling porn or something (whihc will get you banned and a hefty lawsuit possibly). You can try to market your regular websie but the problem is it is difficult adding friedns with adder programs theese days and most people who add you as thier friend dont actuall see your myspace profile. I use myspace mainly for dropping links whihc works well for me.

MySpace sites are just so annoying, I am coming across them day after day. The people who make them and then sell them for a bit are always thinking they are bloody awesome because they can make money on the net.

I am just really annoyed because some of us are sincerely trying to increase our earnings and all I see are these threads on how, "Somebody hacked my account", "All my accounts are gone!" and "My adder bot isn't working "

Not so these programs are getting better and better. I just launced my forum about two weeks ago and was getting 5-9 members a day. I started using adder robot and that has shotup up to 25-30 a day. If you target the right people they will vist the website.

It's just the way the cookie crumbles. It's a free market out there. It's called Capitalism.

You can also do both..

Anyway, I think the reason why so many people are obsessed with MySpace is because it's a huge traffic source with big earning potential.

I have to agree that it is somewhat boring but it brings in a ****load of cash.

I don't market myspace at the moment but I could see why it is such an amazing place to get social networking traffic.

Naaah. MySpace isn't overrated. It makes good money but it does suck (site-wise) at the same time. :glare:

I dont use myspace too much for its intended use. I find 95% of pages take too long too load and my time is too valuable.

Myspace is an awesome money maker. That point will not become overrated for a long while.

I'm still tying to find the "un-ethical" part the OP mentions.
