Hi, Hoang. My day job is with an international courier & logistics company and we do some business for ecommerce sites.
From my point of view, these are the basic things which you need to look into:
1. product (of course) - is there enough demand? is there sufficient supply?
2. payment processor/merchant account - I've heard good things about 2checkout.com. Not too sure but I think, if you have an account with them, you won't have to worry about SSL. They are also very cheap ($49 one time I think), which is good if you're just starting out. Of course, you can always use Paypal too.
3. shipping - use a reliable courier company to transport the goods (TNT, UPS, DHL, Fedex - guess which one I work for? 8-) )
4. customer service - this is very important for ecommerce sites
That's all I could think of for now, will add if I think of something else.
I too am thinking along these lines as there are very good saleable (and cheap) products from my country. Maybe we can compare notes in future.
