I havent thought this through completely but just to put it out in the air.

I'm 16, consequently I cannot register legitimentally for most of the programs through which you can make money online.

Thinking of ways around this, i have thought of making informational products, selling on eBay, selling services or forgetting trying to make money online for next 2 years.

I have however thought of another solution, however i don't know how viable it is. I have hosting already, and a free domain pending to be chosen, and was wondering if it would be possible to place someone elses adsense on one of my sites, as well as affiliate codes, and they in return could send me 50% of the earnings each month. Basically i would be working for you, for 50% of what that site would be making. In return for the 50% that you would be making from me (adsense/YPN + affiliate deals), aswell as taking the time to send me the 50% of the earnings from the site each month, I would ask you to be somewhat of a mentor to me, in that you would answer the occasional question etc. If you have any questions or want to talk, or there is some reason why this could not take place, could you please add me to msn (contactmikeslevin@hotmail.com) or pm me. #1 - The way around this is to.. get your parents to sign up for you. Either that, or just sign up because they don't check your age anyway (true story).

#2 - I would never do this. You could make so much more on your own and what if you got burned? It's not your money so you can't do anything about it.

Talk about it with your parents and sign up under their name (if you get their permission).

Edit: Like Hoang says, it's stupid to put someone else's ads on your sites. You'll have no way of knowing how much you really earn and if the person isn't honest he might keep a lot more than 50% for himself.. So Just sign up under your parents name or your own name.

Cant sign up without a tax id for most things. Is Tax id your NI number (UK), if so is there anyway to deduce age from the NI number? My dad refuses (mainly because i dont think he fully understands how things work) ive not asked my mum yet.

I know there are people out there that would use this as an oppurtunity to "burn me", but i also believe there are lots of honest people out there that would like to see me take my first step, aswell as make a 50% cut; i think its worth the risk to atleast have the possibility of making money online, aswell as have some experience for when i am able to set up on my own legitimately.

The alternative is to dive in into some kind of e-commerce project with start up costs: i have plenty of time, but little money, so it would probably be better to invest time in starting a project with someone elses adsense and affiliate links on it and for them to burn me, leaving me with a site which has the potential to make money or which could be sold on aswell as the experience to repeat what i have accomplished, than invest my little funds, sacrifice any social events that cost money (and believe me teenage life isnt as cheap as you may think

), with the possiblity of no return (which would not be good).
