I would recommend you to go with NameCheap. Their user interface is good, they accept PayPal, have free Who-Is protection. Use the promo code "BEST VALUE" to get domain registrations for $7.99.

I would also recommend NameCheap.com as well. Have been using them over a period of around 2 years. Excellent services and no glitches like some other registrars would put you in when transferring from one registrar to another.

Although, never knew about the BEST VALUE. I would make sure to use it next time I register a domain name.

Do you live under a rock? $7.99 is the standard rate for domains, and almost everyone accepts paypal. Promo codes are for saps cause they just jack up the normal price so the promo seems cheaper by comparison. Use yahoo domains. Only $3. GoCrappy sucks. Dont use them.

If you're looking for price only people like GoDaddy and RegisterFly always have specials on where you can register your domains for pennies. However, if you're looking for service I would go with NameCheap, they are the best domain registrar I have used; it's the same for many.

Their user area is fantastic, really easy to use and everything is only a click of a button away. As Matthew said, their DNS updates amazingly fast and they give you a free whois guard subscription for every domain name.

They're just fantastic! Try them out for yourself.

I'm using namecheap and it's the best and the cheapest domain registrar. You can find discount coupons at various discount sites.

The DNS updates are in few seconds

You have to admit though that $7.99 for a domain is nothing special.

Are you related to handsome rob? He also said my posts are too negative.

Or maybe your posts are just too negative.

I like namecheap. The interface, price, and features made it ridiculously easy for me to begin making the switch away from GoDaddy.

I was posting a quality registrar, not a CHEAP registrar. It isn't a wise choice to go with a service because it's cheap. To me, NameCheap is the best registrar. I like their design, and easy to use interface. The promo is just a bonus. Yahoo! domains is very cheap. $2.99/year for a domain is too good. There is obviously a catch. I've heard horror stories from other users about loosing access to their account and having their domains cancelled. Yahoo doesn't allow you to transfer your domains to another user, but NameCheap, GoDaddy, and some other big registrars do.

I can get really cheap domains at 1and1, but transfering them is a pain and DNS changes take too long.

I must be living under a rock - Since my first domain all the way to the last 4 I just purchased this week I've always used GoDaddy. No problems and have always been happy with them.

I've never even heard of NeamCheap - I may have to check them out the next time I buy a domain.
