These were some great answers.

Thank you all high earners for your wisdom here!

The one lesson I've learned, is to be *very* wary about who you go into a business partnership with. i.e. for equity.

You don't want a 50/50 equity split when you're doing all the work. It's an all too common tale, sadly.

Thx for all the information. But won't us newbies always start of chasing after the rest. And only after we gain enough experience we can join the new hype in time?

i would outsource like crazy but first pick a niche that has crazy people that have a massive passion for that niche and have got tons of money to spend.

then pick the best aritcle writers, best copywriter and put it all together quickly and sit back and keep marketing it each day

and watch the money roll in....BANG.EASY!

I would start over back when I sold some real quality domains to people that they sold for quite a bit more later on. In addition to that I would work on more content sites like (mugglenet.com, runehq.com or other niche/high quality community driven websits)

Thanks so much for this forum and thread.
I was trying to figure out a way to get started and it seems that the base consensus is find a niche with a rabid followers that are willing to spend and build a hub and spoke network of similar sites that can take advantage of cross promotion.

I attempted to start by using adwords to promote clickbank ebooks...grrrr but quickly came to the inclusion that it was going to be an expensive lesson with little chance of success before frustration.

I will now continue to research....

I would start by looking at a project that I would be able to make big and which will be successful for years. I will make sure that I don't do any of the silly mistakes I have done so far. I will also not waste so much money and advertising that didn't really do much like buying 1 or 2 links in high trafficed web directories that still hasn't really got my any traffic, etc.
